Technical Support

To make the Virtual Laboratories work, you need to use a computer with the following parameters, or better:

  • Processor: Intel Ivy Bridge series / AMD Bulldozer series or newer;
  • RAM: 4 GB or more;
  • Graphics Card: integrated: Intel HD Graphics 5000 / Intel Iris or newer; discrete: GeForce 400 series or newer / Radeon HD 7000 series or newer;
  • Screen resolution: 1920×1080 / 1920×1200 or higher (4K and Retina screens require more powerful graphics cards for comfortable operation);
  • Supported browsers: Chrome, Yandex.Browser, Opera 44+, Firefox 51+, Edge 79+, Safari 15+;
  • Supported operating systems: Microsoft Windows 7 (x64 versions) or higher with WebGL 2.0 driver support, MacOS X “Snow Leopard” 10.6 or higher with WebGL 2.0 driver support, Linux or Debian with WebGL 2.0 driver support.

Incorrect display or hanging at startup is due to the fact that for the operation of Virtual Laboratories, your web browser needs to support the WebGL 2.0 standard. You can quickly check the support of WebGL 2.0 in your web browser at the link – https://webglreport.com/?v=2
There are several common scenarios that cause this problem:

  • The browser version does not support WebGL. Old versions of browsers do not support WebGL technology. If you have a problem with a very outdated version of your browser, you need to update to a version that supports WebGL.
  • Hardware acceleration is not enabled in your browser. Although WebGL does not require hardware acceleration, we have found numerous reports that WebGL technology is not working properly. It is known that the Chrome browser falsely reports that WebGL is not supported when hardware acceleration is turned off. In this case, the solution is to go to your browser settings and enable hardware acceleration.
  • Completely outdated graphics driver. In this case, update the graphics driver to the latest version automatically (using the device manager) or manually (using the software from the manufacturer of your equipment).
  • Windows XP does not support WebGL. If you are still using Windows XP, you will need to switch to a new version of Windows 10 to use WebGL technology.

Unfortunately, the problem is with your computer. To make the Virtual Laboratory work, you need to use a computer with the following parameters, or better:

  • Processor: Intel Ivy Bridge series / AMD Bulldozer series or newer;
  • RAM: 4 GB or more;
  • Graphics Card: integrated: Intel HD Graphics 5000 / Intel Iris or newer; discrete: GeForce 400 series or newer / Radeon HD 7000 series or newer;

Most likely, you will need to replace your graphics card with a more modern one and/or switch to an operating system that supports WebGL 2.0 drivers. For more specific advice on how to upgrade your computer, you should contact the technical support service of your computer manufacturer.
